Among the many family campsites in Brittany, Les Mouettes stands out for its heated water park, its free kids’ clubs and its car-free, leafy quarters where little ones can roam safely. Pack your bags (and your sense of wonder): an unforgettable Breton holiday by the sea is waiting for you!

A 5-star family campsite in the heart of Brittany
Les Mouettes sits in Carantec, a charming seaside town in the north of Finistère, on the shores of the Bay of Morlaix and a stone’s throw from the famous Pink Granite Coast. Our seaside campsite overlooks the sea, with views across the bay towards Saint-Pol-de-Léon and Roscoff. To be completely honest, the campsite is not right on a swimming beach: facing the domain lies the foreshore (the “grève”), a vast tidal shore that is perfect for walks and shellfishing at low tide. The nearest sandy swimming beaches, such as Kélenn and Grève Blanche, are about 2.5 kilometres away, and the centre of Carantec is just 1.5 kilometres from the campsite. A genuine slice of Brittany, between land and sea!

A garden campsite: 18 hectares of greenery by the sea
What truly sets Les Mouettes apart among family campsites in Brittany is its identity as a “garden campsite”. Across 18 hectares, a tended floral park unfolds, where five gardeners nurture flowerbeds, palm trees and a touch of the exotic in the Breton air. The pitches and rental homes are spread over six landscaped, car-free and pedestrian quarters, so children and pets can wander freely and safely between hydrangeas, grasses and shady paths. Bees and butterflies are just as happy here as your family will be. This green, blooming setting is the beating heart of the campsite, a peaceful spot to slow down, breathe in the sea air and reconnect with nature, only a short stroll from the bay.

The heated water park, every child’s favourite
At the heart of the holiday, the water park is where the whole family gathers. The outdoor “Lagon”, heated and dressed in tropical greenery, features three giant slides offering four descents and 320 metres of thrills, plus a tropical river to drift along. The “Aquagarden” is a 2,000 m² aquatic playground designed for 1 to 10-year-olds, with a paddling pool, water jets, geysers and a giant tipping bucket on a 600 m² play area. For a gentler moment, the indoor and heated “Balnéoh!” keeps the water at a cosy 29°C, with a counter-current river and massage jets. Grown-ups even have their own wellness space with a sauna. The outdoor pools stay heated all season long, whatever the Breton sky decides. Rain or shine, swimming is always a pleasure at Les Mouettes!

Cottages, pitches and sea views for every family
Les Mouettes welcomes you with a wide choice of comfortable accommodation: cottages, chalets and glamping tents, many with a terrace and some with a sea view, spread across six leafy quarters. In the Natura quarter, certain cottages even come with their own private spa. If you would rather bring your own tent, caravan or motorhome, the campsite offers spacious pitches of 100 to more than 150 m², each with its own heated private sanitary facilities, so no more late-night dashes across the site. Whether you choose a cottage or a pitch, you enjoy the comfort and the warm, family-friendly atmosphere of a five-star campsite in Brittany, right by the Bay of Morlaix.

Kids’ clubs and family activities all season long
Les Mouettes puts families first, and the little ones are the guests of honour. The free kids’ clubs welcome children aged 3 to 12 in age-appropriate groups, while the Club Ouistiti caters for the under-fives under their parents’ supervision. Around the domain, there is plenty to keep everyone busy: a sea-view mini-golf, multisport courts, a boules pitch, a playground and table tennis. Active holidaymakers can join aquagym sessions, set off along the famous GR34 coastal path or hire a bike to explore the 14-kilometre loop around Carantec. In the evening, the stage comes alive with shows and concerts, and two small cinemas screen films in French and English. In high summer, children can even enjoy pony and horse rides by the sea, a real Breton seaside treat. From morning to night, boredom simply isn’t on the programme!

Breton flavours and seaside discoveries
A family holiday in Brittany would not be complete without good food and great days out. On site, the Ty Coz Restaurant serves homemade dishes and Breton specialities (and was named Yelloh! Restaurant of the Year in 2025), while the Ty Coz Café, the La Paillote snack bar, a mini-market and a bakery round off the offer. Beyond the campsite, the Bay of Morlaix is a playground in itself: try kayaking, stand-up paddle or sailing with the Carantec nautical centre, tee off at the 9-hole golf course, or set sail to the Château du Taureau and the islands of the bay (Callot, Louët, Batz). Roscoff, Saint-Pol-de-Léon and the Pink Granite Coast are all within easy reach for a memorable family escape.
